HomeDesigner is provided by Nathan Joppich, trading as an individual (a sole trader) established in Luxembourg ("we", "us", the "Seller"). Our postal address is 87, rue des Romains, L-8041 Strassen, Luxembourg and you can reach us at nathanjoppich@gmail.com.
These terms apply to the HomeDesigner app — the Android app, the web app at
homedesignerapp.com/app, the community forum, and this website — and to any
purchase of HomeDesigner Pro. By using HomeDesigner you agree to them. Our
Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
HomeDesigner is free to use in its standard form. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own design work, whether personal or commercial. The app, its source code and its bundled content remain ours or our licensors'; you may not copy, resell, sublicense or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly permits.
Designs you create are yours. Where you sign in, we store them so they follow you between devices — see the Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use HomeDesigner to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to disrupt the service for others.
You can use most of HomeDesigner without an account. Google Sign-In is optional and is what carries your projects and your Pro unlock between devices. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity under it. You may delete your account and its stored data from within the app at any time.
Pro is a paid upgrade that unlocks unlimited floors and projects, the full furniture catalogue, watermark-free renders and PDF/DXF plan export. There are two ways to buy it, and they are legally different:
The web Pro unlock is a one-time purchase giving access for as long as the app and the account it is attached to exist. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Pro is tied to your account, not to a device, and cannot be transferred or resold.
The price is the one shown at checkout at the moment you buy. As merchant of record we are responsible for charging VAT where it applies; any tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices for future purchases, never retroactively for one already made.
As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason.
Because Pro unlocks immediately after payment, we ask at checkout for your express consent to begin supplying it straight away, together with your acknowledgement that you therefore lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once supply has begun. This is permitted under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. If you are not asked for that consent, or you do not give it, your 14-day right is unaffected and you may withdraw by emailing us.
Losing the right of withdrawal does not affect your rights under section 7, or the refund policy in section 8.
You have a statutory legal guarantee that the digital content and services we supply conform to what was described. Under Directive (EU) 2019/770 and your national law, if Pro is faulty or does not do what we said, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity or to a price reduction or refund. Nothing in these terms limits those rights, and you do not have to rely on our own refund policy to use them.
Beyond your statutory rights, we voluntarily apply the same refund policy to web purchases that Google Play applies to purchases made in the Android app:
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. When a purchase is refunded, the Pro unlock ends.
Anything you post to the forum stays yours, but you give us permission to display and store it so the forum works. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or that you do not have the rights to. We may remove posts and suspend accounts that break these rules, and the forum has a report function for anything you think should not be there.
We work to keep HomeDesigner running, but it is provided as it is and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue a paid feature outright, we will refund a fair share of what you paid for it.
HomeDesigner is a design tool, not professional advice. Its measurements, plans, exports and shopping lists are estimates for your own planning, and must not be relied on for construction, permits, structural or safety decisions without a qualified professional checking them.
We are liable for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using HomeDesigner at any time by deleting it and, if you wish, your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. A Pro unlock already paid for is not withdrawn except where a purchase is refunded or reversed.
These terms are governed by the law of Luxembourg. As a consumer you always keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
Please email us first — most things are quickest to fix that way. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can take the dispute to alternative dispute resolution free of charge. The competent body for us is the Service national du Médiateur de la consommation, 6, rue du Palais de Justice, L-1841 Luxembourg (info@mediateurconsommation.lu). You may also use the ADR body in your own country, and for cross-border purchases within the EU the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) can help.
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date above. Changes apply to your use of the app from then on; they do not change the terms of a purchase you have already made.
